Aino Aalto Glassware
Aino Marsio started working at Alvar Aalto's office in 1924, and the meeting would lead to a long partnership in more ways than one. A year later they married, and in a decade they would be co-founders of the company Artek.
The most famous of Aino Aalto's works is her collection of glassware. The design won a gold medal at the Milan Triennial in 1936, and has become a staple at tables around the world ever since. The timeless style and smart stackability makes them a versatile essential true to the test of Finnish functionalism.
