Artek Alvar Aalto A805 - Floor Lamp

This floor lamp was originally designed for Helsinki's Social Insurance Institution Building in 1955. The 20.5" shade is constructed out of hand turned and painted white steel. The base and stem are partially covered in black leather with either brass or nickel accents. A highly architectural design, clean lines and a soft, diffused lighting create a fixture that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
